SUMMARY:Board Meeting - Oct 10\, 2019
DESCRIPTION:The Oakbridge Community Services Association (OCSA) Board of Directors will meet from 7 to 9 PM on Thu. Oct. 10 in Room 112 of the Madison College West Campus\, 8017 Excelsior Drive in Madison. Members of the public — especially Oakbridge residents — are welcome to attend. \n\nThe principal order of business will be further consideration of an amendment to the OCSA By-Laws that was left undecided at the previous meeting. \nIn other Board news\, Ron Hay has announced that he won’t be running for re-election to the Board at the annual meeting in January. In all\, Ron has devoted 21 years of selfless service to OCSA\, including many as its President\, and he will leave big shoes to fill. Treasurer Jeff Wilson has also said that he will be stepping down from that role in January. \nThis would be an excellent time for other community members who are dedicated to keeping Oakbridge a vibrant neighborhood to consider stepping up to run for the Board themselves. The main obligation is attending monthly (more or less) meetings. The Board very much encourages diverse participation in its decision-making. \nWhile you may\, of course\, wait until the annual meeting in January to declare your official candidacy\, it would help if we knew in advance how much interest there is in filling these jobs\, so if you’re thinking about it — or even just wondering about it — please contact OCSA President Abigail Darwin at AKDarwin@gmail.com.
