Project Recovery

Project Recovery, Wisconsin’s implementation of the FEMA Crisis Counseling Program, is currently providing cost-free and over-the-phone crisis counseling focused on non-judgmental listening and helping folks navigate their emotions and reactions to stress caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. Each area code is assigned a specific counselor who is also knowledgeable in local resources available to help meet any food, shelter, and/or health needs, and they are trained in resource referral.

Project Recovery is currently partnered with United Way 211. Anyone can be connected to a crisis counselor by dialing 211 or 608-237-1255, and by contacting Project Recovery via their program website at https://projectrecoverywi.org/
