At its session on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, the Board of Directors of the Oakbridge Community Services Association (OCSA Board) amended Section C9 of the Architectural Control Rules (ACR), which apply to all homes in the Oakbridge Neighborhood, to relax the requirement for siding on homes to be chiefly pastel in color; now they’re only required to be “muted.”
Prior to this change, Section C9 of the ACR stated:
“Pastel colors are required on the exterior of houses and must be the same color for the entire house, except for trim, shutters, and window casings, which may be in a complementary color.“
The OCSA Board amended the rule to the following:
“The exterior of a house must be primarily of a single siding type having uniform color. The color must be in some way muted to ensure the overall harmony of the neighborhood. Ancillary exterior items such as trim, shutters, and window casings must be of a color which complements the primary siding.“
The following language in Section C9 remains unchanged:
“The exterior siding must be either 4 inch or 5 inch. Corner trim must be provided on all outside walls and windows.“
