The Board of Directors of the Oakbridge Community Services Association recently completed a nearly two-year project to overhaul the Architectural Control Rules that apply to all 145 homes in Oakbridge. They’ve been whittled down to only 6 pages, and many confusing, redundant, and obsolete items were eliminated.
Since everybody in Oakbridge is required to abide by these rules, please take advantage of this opportunity to re-familiarize yourself with them. They’re available on the “Documents” page of this website: https://oakbridge.community/documents/
How To Vote Absentee.
Madison’s wonderful city clerk, Maribeth Witzel-Behl, and her supremely dedicated and competent staff have made it really, really easy to find out how, where, and when to vote in Madison. In particular, if you want to vote by absentee ballot (minimizing your exposure to the rest of the world), you can find out how at https://www.cityofmadison.com/clerk/elections-voting/voting/vote-absentee
That same website lists in-person absentee-voting locations and drop-off sites.
Are you registered to vote? Have you asked for an absentee ballot? Has it been sent to you? If you sent it back, has it been received? All this info available at the super helpful and easy-to-use website myvote.wi.gov – just enter your name and birthday and all will be made plain to you.
Now more than ever it’s important to get a jump on the process, because there will likely be unforeseen delays as we get closer to Tue. Nov. 3. Don’t let your vote go uncounted! Vote as soon as possible!
The next Oakbridge Neighborhood Association Board Meeting will take place on Wed., Oct. 21, at 7 pm over Zoom. Among other things, the Board will discuss changes to the Architectural Control Rules. We expect that at this meeting, the Architectural Control Board will present its recommendations to the full Board about what revisions to make to the Architectural Control Rules, based in part on input received from neighborhood residents. The Board may vote at this meeting on the final version of the Architectural Control Rules.
The Fall Raking event for the Oakbridge Common Areas will take place on Sunday, October 25 at 10 am. Anyone interested in helping should meet at the Oakbridge Neighborhood sign. We will expect that everyone will keep at least 6 feet apart from one another, and everyone is strongly encouraged to wear a face mask. The rain date for this event will be Sunday, November 8 at 10 am.
Hi, Oakbridge neighbors! We are expecting to have at least 1 vacancy on the Neighborhood Board in 2021. You, yes YOU, should consider running for the Board at the annual meeting in January 2021! If you have any questions about Board participation, or if you would like to express your interest in running for a Board seat, please email board@oakbridge.community.
On Sat. Sep. 19 at 10:00 AM, the Board seeks input from community members on proposed changes to the ACR. The changes may be viewed here:
That’s the marked-up version, showing changes from the current ACR via text formatting: underlines for additions, strikeouts for deletions, and pink highlighting for explanations.
But, if you’d like to just see a “clean” version of the final product (if the proposed changes were all adopted), look here:
Besides attending the hearing, you can send comments via e-mail, using “ACR Comments” in the subject line, to:
If you’d like to participate in either event, RSVP by 5:00 PM on Wed. Sep. 16 to the OCSA Secretary at:
RichardSRussell@tds.net and we’ll send you a link to the meeting, which will be held via Zoom.
Come one, come all (socially distant, too) to walk, wheel, or ride around Oakbrook Circle in honor of the first day of school. The departure time is at 8.05 am similar to the normal bus pick up and will travel from West Oakbrook Circle to East Oakbrook Circle for one or maybe two laps before virtually starting school at 8.30 am. Neighbors please be aware that this is occurring as children will be traveling in the street similar to the July 4th parade. We will not meet anywhere as a group to start the lap, but hope this will be an incentive for the first day of school to get people off to a good start.
