Meet on July 4 at 10:45a.m. by the Oakbridge sign!
Parade
Your children and grandchildren can show off their decorated bikes and wagons while dressed in their Independence Day colors as they are escorted by a Madison Fire Department Fire Engine for the neighborhood parade around Oakbrook. Bring your patriotic pups too! Participants are asked to gather at 10:45a.m. by the Oakbridge sign for the parade that begins at 11a.m.
Picnic
Following the parade, join in the picnic, sponsored and hosted by the Neighborhood Association, that includes hot dogs, chips, lemonade, and freeze pops. Additional snacks and dishes to share are always appreciated! Have a favorite game? Bring it! Bean bag toss and ladder ball toss games will also be set up.
Book Drive
Our new neighbors are moving into the Heartland Housing building on Tree Lane this week! These families have children of all ages. Let’s help kids feel like kids while they adjust to their new homes by donating gently used children’s books. We will have a box for book donations at the picnic and will deliver the books to Heartland Housing later in the week. Your kindness may kindle a lifelong love for learning and reading for children in need!
We hope to see you at the upcoming neighborhood meeting.
Some of the topics to be discussed will be:
- Neighborhood Finances
- Architectural Review: Looking at changes in building materials that affect the deed restrictions.
- Get involved: We are hoping to find some more people who are willing to get involved with the neighborhood Board.
- A talk by Wendy Dalgety about what is happening in the real estate world right now.
Please RSVP if you will be attending and how many.

Thank you to Barb Prigge, Oakbridge Community Services Association (OCSA) board member for creating the newsletter!
Hard copies of the newsletter will be delivered to just the homes that have not joined Next Door. We no longer deliver hard copies to each residence in the neighborhood to save on printing fees to keep the annual Association fees as low as possible.

A handsome group of Oakbridge residents braved the blustery conditions on Saturday, November 11th, to rake the common areas of Oakbridge. It seemed like it was going to be a race against snow, but the weather held out long enough to accomplish our goal in about 90 minutes. Keep an eye out on this web page, Nextdoor or the Oakbridge Facebook page to find out when the spring-clean event happens. Thanks to all the above for your hard work!
